Good Friday Celebration
The Lord's Supper - Maundy Thursday
PALM SUNDAY CELEBRATION AT ST. MARY & BENDICT CHURCH
It all happens at St. Mary' Church Coventry
Each parish has its own traditions and customs. Shared interests bring people together. When people realise that they share values, they form a family, they feel supported and through their own involvement they support others as well. Our parish is characterised by hospitality and working together. There should never be anyone neglected or belittled. There is no boss among us. We sit on a round table with Jesus Christ at its centre.
The Sunday Mass is our greatest weekly event and our only gathering in large numbers with one purpose in mind namely to worship God. It does not simply happen, there are so many people in the background playing different parts. On Sunday we do not simply find ourselves seated or standing in the pews, no, it is something that has been in our plan and weekly program. We like coming to Mass and we enjoy participating at Mass, after all, our parish Priest introduces it with the words, " I welcome you all to our Sunday Mass"
In our parish, our parish church is the holiest place worthy of our reverence, we feel pleased when people can pray in a prayerful environment. We hate seeing people not respecting our place of prayer.
Children at Mass make our prayers acceptable to God, for how can he refuse to grant what an innocent little soul has desired to ask. How can God not bless the prayer uttered through innocent lips. We ask that you bring your child as well to pray with us and to pray for us.
